Monitoring non-vsphere environment network traffic
Hi,
Is it possible for vRealize Operations Manager to be used to monitor network traffic, regardless on what network it is on? For example MPLS traffic over WAN and LAN traffic that goes across Cisco or Juniper switches? Something like what IXIA does.

Could you do a SSH login to vRO appliance, execute the following commands in a command terminal, and provide the output they return?
sudo -l -U root
sudo -l -U vco
Also, could you go to /usr/lib/vco/configuration/bin/ directory, and check the permissions/ownership of the file config_liagent.sh ?

Not sure if I can do that, even if it would be technically possible.
Sources are about 4Gb total, but the actual package is much smaller.
Could you to with the thinapp snapshot-data taken from the package PC?.
Locally, it just a clean WIndows 7 SP1 32-bit system with local .NET 4.5.2 and Visual C Runtimes for 2008 en 2010 installed.

Vmware Workstation 12 installation fails instantly
Hi there,
I have downloaded the VMware workstation 12 trial from the website but everytime I click on the installation file, it starts then immediately cuts out. No error message is displayed.
Running Win 10
I have another vmware installation on my pc but uninstalling this has made no difference.

Hi guys
Meanwhile I have two cases open with HPE and VMware regarding this issue. The only workaround is to limit the Disk.MaxLUN=256 to sort out the PE device. But unfortunately you can not use VVOLs at this point. Disabling the smartd service doesn't have an impact on this. I let you know if there's a solution for that...

vCenter + Linux + Chromium

I recently installed vCenter Appliance "VMware-VCSA-all-6.0.0-3634788.iso". It works great accesing from web in a Windows 7 and Chrome browser.
But I use Linux PCs, Debian Jessie with Chromium browser. I have this when I access to the web interface:
Anyone use Linux to browse the vCenter web interface?

Please do the following:
cd /run/media/pure/VMware Tools
cp VMwareTools-***.tar.gz ~
cd ~
tar -xzvf VMwareTools-***.tar.gz
cd vmware-tools-distrib
sudo ./vmware-install.pl (and accept default answer).

I have seen your same question and logs posted by you in another thread.
I would suggest you to make sure dns resolve hostname correctly, IP configuration, vlan settings are correct.
If you are sure everything is configured correctly, please install latest esxi updates on host, this should resolve the issue.
